Fuel system - mind blown.
I know this is like beating a dead horse, but I've read through the sticky's numerous times and searched the web for hours, so I figured I would finally just post. I have a '92 Silverado 1500 and gearing up to drop an '01 5.3 in, of course with the return style fuel system. I have the Delco EP-381 fuel pump already purchased.
Here we go: The factory fuel filter/lines can be used, correct? The fuel pump (EP-381) can be installed in the tank? What has to be done to the factory sender? I've seen everyone say just run the return line to the tank, but how is this done? What adapters/fitting do I need? I've already gathered I need the Russell 640850 and 640860, but what else? I'm sure there is something else I am forgetting as well. Thanks in advance for any help and info.

Re: Fuel system - mind blown.
Your '92 will already have a return on the sender. If your engine comes with the fuel lines that run from the rail down the back of the engine and come out on the left side of the transmission, you could use them and just hook them up to your existing feed and return lines already on the frame. Your pump will be a direct bolt in to your original sender.

Re: Fuel system - mind blown.
Thank you, sir! Very good to know and finally somewhat have some peace of mind, ha. Unfortunately, the engine didn't come with any fuel line, so I'm looking to adapt the factory feed line and run a new return line. (I'm assuming this is how it's done from what I've read)
