VERY nice work! I feel silly asking a question about your clock when there is so much other good stuff going on here, but I have my dash cluster apart right now and that thing intrigues me. How does the time get set on the clock? Both initially and if it should ever get out of whack? Also, how did you go from having what appears to be the time set knob in the middle of the hands to a smooth appearance? Just grind it off with a Dremel or something?

Here are some pictures of the jig I built to create the Fresh air vent covers behind the speaker kickers. This seals the outside vent off from debris coming into the cab. I used a gasket between the metal and plastic. On the kicker, I moved the speaker holes up to the vent opening and closed up the old speaker holes at the bottom. You can see a very little bit left of the circle which I didn't use enough filler in the picture on the drivers side.

The knob is on the top right side of the clock not in the middle of the clock. I wanted a clean look. So for this clock I had to drill a hole and notch the gauge bezel to fit the knob. The clock came out of a 80's Volvo. Already quartz!

I really like the clock it looks great, in post 24 you said the clock came from a 73 volvo and then in post 63 you said it came from a 80's model, I really want to find one of these do you know for sure which one it came out of, and also what is the tach out of.

I could do some more research on this year but i did this conversion over 10 years ago. I believe it was from 73 to 80 Volvo wagon. I went to the wrecker and pulled about 5 of them out. I will have to do some further checking, and let you know.

2001 Dodge 1500, 2500 Truck. I believe they are still using them in the same truck today. Just have to spend more for the newer ones. My are none powered but it would have been cool to use a set that were powered and heated. I had to modify the frame mounts a bit (shorten the legs & weld on new mounts) for a level install.

Ok I found out what I did. I used the face of a non quartz clock from a 1960-70's 140-240 Volvo clock. I put the face on a 1986-1993 factory quartz Volvo 240 clock cluster. I looked eBay right now there are two (2) that I saw on there. Check these item out #281163234650 #290974871422

Here is my custom door panels to cover the work I did to get the one piece glass installed. I built them out of Plastic PVC purchased at Tap Plastics. Glued together with PVC glue purchased at OSH, sanded with a belt sander and hand sanded. I added side to flare the edges like a new vehicle today. I also foamed the inside of the panel to build up the backing and sound. This pushed the panel out to make the door panel flat, due to the door having a slight bow. The Handle cranks lineup and work great. NoteL: The window crake is power using the stock handle, to give it that factory looks. Here are the pictures.
