66 Chevy fuel pump for 250cid

I'm new to the forum and after reading I have not located any info on replacing my fuel pump. Can you direct me to a thread with an explanation.
Original pump is a cast but I'm not sure if the fuel line and carb line will fit the new one without adjustments. Any recommendations/help would be appreciated.

Very eay job. Disconnect the in and out lines on the old fuel pump. There are only two bolts that hold the fuel pump on. Remove these two bolts and the fuel pump will come right off. Install new gasket and pump w/the two bolts (normally new ones are in the box), and reinstall the fittings from the old pump to the new. Reconnect the in and out fuel line and your ready to go.

The fittings should swap over just fine.

Thanks, you answered my questions, the fittings should transfer. I figured the job was easy but was not sure about the fittings.
Thanks again!

Just did one on Ole Brownie on my lunch break. Hardest part was leaning my portly self over the fender! Oh, and the gas smell!
BTW, check the screws that hold the 2 halves together, mine were 1/2 - 3/4 turn loose!

Re: 66 Chevy fuel pump for 250cid

Thanks for the advise. I will follow your build although I'm just replacing as needed. My truck is in the country and I just want to keep it running. Replaced the brakes, carb, seat cover, water pump, fuel pump, radiator and belts. It's a oneowner truck and I plan to keep it all original including the farm dents.
Thanks again.
