Info needed from the Turbo 400 guys!

Could someone please post some pics showing the proper routing of the wire harness for the pedal mounted T400 kickdown switch? I did a search but didn't find anything.

The switch is on the gas pedal bracket for 71-72.. But where is the kick down switch on a 67-70? That's something I've been wanting to know for a long time

I believe the switch is mounted on the side of the carburetor. At least, that is what I concluded when I did research on how to hook it back up after putting an Edelbrock 1406 on it (I used a nitrous micro switch.)

I'm sure one of the fine posters here has more adequate info, but if there's no responses here I'll take a picture of the factory kickdown on the carb for ya.

i have a th400 with the kick down switch but im pretty sure its supposed to attach to a bracket by the gas pedal. mine was "rigged" to work off the quadrajet. i switched to an edlebrock and couldnt get it to work, so i just tied it up. i have researched it before and im fairly cirtain its supposed to be on the gas pedal.

I know my switch attaches to the pedal assy., what I don't know is how the harness is routed from the switch to the tranny. Anyone have pics of this?

i found this on google. its a bit of reading but it might have the answer your looking for.

it looks like you just run one wire up to the the switch and a hot wire to the fuse block.

Not what I am looking for but thanks anyway. I want to see the path the wire takes as it goes from the switch, through the cab, exits thru the firewall and connects to the tranny.

The wire runs through the same hole/grommet as the oil pressure line, down through the firewall tabs, with the taillight wires, and on to the trans. Sorry, I don't have any pics. Hope this helps!

Thanks! I wish it was a better pic. My left front tire wasn't to the top of the rock yet, so it actually went a little higher. My wife and kids were with me, and nobody made a peep! It felt like it was going to go over from the driver seat! It survived that rainy and slippery day, but over all, the rock crawling really took a toll on the old blazer.
