Fuel Cell Install

I found this episode of PowerBlockTV featuring a "daily driver" C10 rebuild, they mention installing a Summit Racing 16g fuel cell.

My truck currently has the factory gas tank relocated in the bed (behind the cab), so I've been exploring options similar to what they did in this project...



Best I can tell that is a "Summit Racing® Pro Street Fuel Cells SUM-290108" for $182.97.

However they don't really touch on what was required to adapt it to the factory fuel pump / fuel lines. I've never worked with these components and was wondering if anyone can offer insight (i.e. do I need all new fuel lines etc.). Also, it seems like you'd need to cut a hole in your wood bed to access this tank(?)

If you're racing and weight is a concern, then I can see installing a fuel cell, but there are a lot of options for us in the way of under bed stainless and aluminum gas tank conversions that are a lot easier to install and hold more fuel. I built a stainless tank that is similar to a few that I've seen, and it clears the cross sill in that area and holds 20 gallons.

Get a Boyd's tank and drill some holes, run some 3/8" braided hose and your cooking with gas, not literally mind you or are you?
