Tilt front ends?
Anybody done this and got any pics? Low as the eng sets in these trucks, it looks like it'd make it easier to work on.

Re: Tilt front ends?
Hello vht. I'm in the middle of my rebuild and I included a tilt front end just for the reason you said. The motor is low in the engine compartment and its hard to reach, hence the tilt. There is really not much out there on tilts so its my own design. Still not complete but Clarance J is on the street so he's at the build as I go stage. I haven't updated for awhile so my rebuild is on page 3 or 4 back in the pile. "Just another old truck" by Clarance J. Take a look and see what you think.
Earl aka Clarance J

Re: Tilt front ends?
I'll ck them out. as to what trk, don't know, haven't found 1 yet, but I'm looking. Would like a 49, 50, type body style but I'd consider later 50's. As long as it's a chevy.

Re: Tilt front ends?
I am interested in the same thing (tilt front end or fiberglass one piece). Take a look at the Fesler truck. http://www.feslerbuilt.com/1958_Chevy_TruckBF.html
Perhaps we could either buy information or plans from them if we get together as a group. I like the way they did it. Classy. How about the fiberglass one piece? I know No Limit does a reverse hood tilt kit. |
