Hello forum...I am going to flip the back today and do spindles in the front with 1 cut coil....I am running some 15x8 wheels with a 4.5 back spacing. The wheels are on the vehicle now its my daily.. My tires are huge and I know that they will hit...What is the best tire size to run on 15"s. The truck is a cruiser...stock everything....Here is a pic of how it looks..

I don't know either, never lowered one that far. But that's a pretty drastic drop for that wheel, seems like you'd need something in the 235 to 255 size. Nothing really wrong with running a skinny tire on that rim, just that you usually see a fat tire on those. I think it will look pretty cool, different from bare and painted steelies. Nice truck!

Re: 77 2w blazer 5/5 drop what tires to use on 15x8 wheels

Thx for the compliments guys it just gives me more fuel to finish her up. Well the back is oficially done as of yesterday...let me tell you that it looks great...seems to me like there are no clearance issues..the rear is now tucking a huge 31x10.5 tire and there is no rubbing. I will look for some smaller tires today and see what find.. i have 3" spindles and a coil to cut on the front..im thinking 1/2 a coil should give me 1 1/2 inch drop...also im pretty sure about this but a second opinion is always better...on the flip kit the flip perch has a hole which i pointed forward so that the driveshaft moves towards the tranny right. Is that correct boys? Thanks to all for your replies..

Re: 77 2w blazer 5/5 drop what tires to use on 15x8 wheels

Just wrapped up the front . I am having clearance issues with the wheels up front. The wheels on the pic are 15x8 with a 4" bs...I guess that the new drop spindles ride closer to everything inside.. My wheel is hitting the lower control arm a bit as well as the balance weights on the wheels... I need tires any how so I will just look for some wheels with around a 3 1/2 back spacing..

stock size wheels rubbing the LCA with 3 inch spindles seems to be a very common problem. What I've seen most guys do is just grind a little off the lower control arm and call it a day.

Re: 77 2w blazer 5/5 drop what tires to use on 15x8 wheels

Yeah thats what i was reading on one of the posts on here..yeah i was contemplating doing that but i really am tired of hearing that grinder lol...took me a while to grind through the massive coil springs and even a harder time cutting the rear bumb stop rivets.. i need smaller tires any how...hoping i can get a good deal on some...since these are 15x8 with a 4" bs i figure i will be same with the same wheel but in a 3 1/2 bs or even a 15x7 @ 4" bs..u know that when u need something its nearly impossible to find..been searching for wheels on clist and its been dry...my try the local junk yards and see if something gives..
