rear end

Iam in the process of dropping a v8 into a 1969 c20 that had a 292. If I put the engine in the back of the engine bay do I need a longer driveshaft? If I use the V8 motor mount holes at the front can I use the driveshaft out of a 69 c10 with a conversion u-joint?
What is easier as this is not a show truck.

I'd put the V8 on the 6 cylinder mounts. This will leave trans and driveshaft in same spot they are in now. If you go to the C10 driveshaft and move the motor, because of the larger rear end of the C20 , most likely the C10 shaft will be too long.
