Installing fenders on my 66 SBFS
Its been several years and my truck is now painted and the installation of the body parts have begun. The problem that I am facing is at the inside at the rear of the front fender, behind the wheel at the cab mount there is a large gap
I cannot remember if there something that goes between the fender bolt hole and the mount to fill the gap where it mounts to the cab. Was there anything that filled that gap or just shims? Can someone help me with this? |

Re: Installing fenders on my 66 SBFS
There is just the bracket that bolts to the cab, where the outer fender bolts to the cab. If the fender is not lining up with the door and the rocker, you may need some shims in there.

Re: Installing fenders on my 66 SBFS
mine takes about 1/2" or more of shims (after market fenders) use as many as you need to line up the fender with the door.

Thanks for the info. I found the proper brackets in the parts box. All is well!
