crossmember swap and new wheels
Hi guys,
I'm doing a crossmember swap on my 3/4 66 to a early eighties to get the disc and 5 lug and also make complete air bag drop easier. Will the backspacing/"track width" (is it called that?) change if installing the newer parts? I'm going for 20 inch wheels with maximum drop, so I really need the backspacing right. /Thomas Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: crossmember swap and new wheels
Yes the track width will increase when upgrading to discs. I just don't remember exactly how much it is. I want to say it is 2 to 2.5". Someone else may know for sure

Re: crossmember swap and new wheels
Hi,
Looks like this was a difficult one if you would go with 20 inch on a bagged truck without the changed crossmember, 8 wide in front and 9 wide in back. What back space would be used? Br/Thomas Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device
