Name this part.... LS6 intake - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

It came on the back of a LS6 intake. It is on the driver side rear of the intake next to the fuel rail inlet. So what is it and what does it do? Do I need to keep it? If so where does the nipple need to be routed to?

I believe it is a solenoid for the AIR system, get rid of it.

Are there other parts to the air system that should be gone? New to LS, this is an LQ4 with LS6 intake.

Your LQ4 probably didn't come with the AIR system, so that should be the only component on the intake.

How about this? I see it goes to a port behind the throttle body.

Looks like an EVAP/PURGE solenoid for the fuel emissions system, on the trucks its a Can that sticks straight up out of the intake.
