Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
Thanks! It drives great! Does really well at 2500 rpm, especially with the four barrel on it. I'm hardly touching it in fourth gear at a cruise!

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
here is my hodge podge of inline parts; 250 1983 block, 292 1979 head, 250 1967 intake and exhaust. the original head was carryed to head exchange place for rebuild(before me) the block was replaced because of crack in # 3 cylinder(me).

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
baddawg65, with you running that Offy set-up and, don't quote me here, Heddman headers, did you run into any issues without running that thermatic dampner flap on the old exhaust manifold now that you converted to long tube headers. Know what I mean? I've read about issues arising with that and seen in an old Chevy pic of an old 50's stovebolt running Fenton headers that had a heater core bypass line running to what looked like a milled aluminum block bolted to the intake manifold. Any suggestions?

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
Sweet T.J. MCCAULEY, it's not going to happen for a while but I'm just getting my ducks in a row here for when I do do the swap over. Also, Druman, Dig the valve cover and the paint job you did.

Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines
If I was you, I would purchase Clifford's intake and Headers. His intake is open plenum and is better made than the offey(in my opinion). His long or short tube headers are made from 16 gauge metal. Tom Langdon's Cast iron headers are a good buy also. And if you get a clifford intake the water system will be alot easier to hook up than the offy. I can send some pics if you want. Just let me now. T.J. P.s. I posted some pictures in my build thread so you can how the clifford intake water system hooks up.
