slam bags quality?

Is this normal, it's a slam specialty SS7. I've heard good things but I'm curious what others experience is?

Re: slam bags quality?

I used to be a long haul guy, and my cabs bags had a similar ridge along the top. So my guess is that maybe from the molding process.

Does the bag leak?

Re: slam bags quality?

My slam bags have been intalled I'm my truck for 5 yrs and I just went outside and inspected all 4 and none of mine have that ridge/seperation. Not a air bag expert but I would say it does not look normal.

Re: slam bags quality?

I was just about to post the same thing. all 4 of my slam ss7 bags looked like that before I even had the truck out of the shop. I assumed because all 4 of the bags look pretty much the same it was normal even though it didn't look 'right'. Maybe its time to call Slam.. I ordered mine end of May FYI.

Re: slam bags quality?

Yes, that is normal. The way the SS series bags are made, they will have a little separation around the edge of the composite plates. That's what helps them get an inch or so more lift than the RE series...
