taking off front clip as whole
I need your help guys!
I'm going to be hopefully getting rid of my old 305/th350 combo today, my question is. How do you pull off the front clip of our truck as a whole piece I'm thinking it's those 4 bolts total. 2 at the top of where the fenders are and then 2 at the bottom kind of where the cab sits. Are those the only bolts that are holding it in? What else will I have to unplug etc to take it off as well. Thanks fellas you guys are awesome!!!

Re: taking off front clip as whole
2 on the top by the windshield 2 between the door and the fender 2 where the cabs sits at so a total of 6 bolts for both sides, dont forget to count the shims,
Posted via Mobile Device The electrical connectors radiator bolts o yea the inner fender bolts that bolt to the fire wall I think that should be it, whatever is left will be noticeable and be able to pull out easily

Alright cool thanks Frog!! I appreciate it I figured it would be pretty easy to pull just wanted to double check to make sure it's all simple.

Re: taking off front clip as whole
there are also bolts on the radiator support, iirc they just pull out from the bottom though

Re: taking off front clip as whole
Idk depending on your brake lines you might have to remove the inner fender or remove the whole fender, I was trying to install a 87 front clip onto my 74 and well I removed the whole drivers fender because of my brake lines

Re: taking off front clip as whole
Take the bumper and front wheels off too for clearance. If you have decent paint, tape the front edge of the door and rear edge of fender to protect the paint.

Re: taking off front clip as whole
Use a cherry picker and a system of ratchet straps and it will make the lifting and moving so much easier, trust me I know this to be truth as I just did this on my daughters truck by myself! Was easy-peasy!!!
