Re: 79' 2wd blazer

Fab work looks great! Hard earned tip, if I may: Take those Blue Monroes back and get the Sensatracs for the same application. Night and day difference on just our mildly lowered static truck. A few more bucks but WAAAAAY worth it.

I'll keep that in mind elco. Probably won't be a driver for a little while so that will be down the road.

I have not seen an update on this in quite a while but am glad to see that you are still moving forward. Your fab work sure looks nice!

Keep it up and we will cruise one day...

Re: 79' 2wd blazer

Little update, not much but its something.

Quick powdercoat job on the stock arms to look decent till i can afford the mmw arms

Setup some up the front end to check it out together

Cut the rear off because I gotta Z it a little for the rear body mounts to fit in in there

Got a few new parts in, Body mount bushings, U-joints, Hood hinges, and headlight bezels (not pictured)

Started cutting down the body mounts to fit under cab, pics show old bushings compared to the new bushings...Obviously the mounts are just sitting there...not tacked or welded to frame yet.

Re: 79' 2wd blazer

Are you setting them up so the pinch welds and frame touch together? I don't guess I've seen this done yet.

Re: 79' 2wd blazer

Got the front mounts all tacked in and moved to position #2 mounts. Found out the stock ones were to short so I had to make some. Got them in place and tacked them up as well. Next up I'll finish z'ing the rear of frame and do the most rear mounts. Here's some pics of the mounts I made and tacked in

Re: 79' 2wd blazer

Decided to get rid of the stock core support mounts and make some for a better look. Mine were uneven anyways thinking the blazer was in a accident at some point so I had to move one up anyways. Haven't got them done yet but got them cut out with the plasma today so I thought I'd show the progress of that. Will make the bends later this week and mount them.

Stock ones cut off
