Flaming River Column Question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Has anyone purchased a Flaming River Stainles Steel column in their "paintable mill finish". Can you give me a description of what the finish looks like, brushed look? I thought this would be a good way to go as the Chrome or polished columns are about 175 more. I could then polished it myself when I got around to it.

Its not a look you'd want to leave alone and run. The tube itself is fine, but the cast upper hub and ring where the wheel mates up to doesn't match in appearance with the tube.

Mechanically, Flaming River columns are awesome! And they do in fact BOLT DIRECTLY INTO our '60-66 trucks.
