59 Chevy truck want to swap a 57 front end on it

hey guys I have a 59 Chevy big back window short bed fleetside truck and I want to bolt on a 57 Chevy truck front end on it. Hood, fenders, front grill, lower valance behind the front grill. Does anyone know if everything will just bolt right on? I was told the hood bolts on a different way.

you need to cut 3" off the front frame. hood bolting pattern is different. radiator core support is different, you will need the full clip. do not know but bumper brackets might be different too. wiring harness needs modified for lights.

58-59 inner fenders are different than 55-57. You need all the frnt sheet metal to make the change

all front sheet metal; fenders, inner fenders, grill, core support. head light buckets, etc...
my question is why? 4 eyes is sexy and you still end up registering it as a 59

You guys were right. I just purchased a 57 big backwindow truck instead of buying the front end and i want to swap the cab and fleetside bed of the 59 to the 57 frame and frontend. Everything should bolt on right? 57 and 59 have the same cab and bodylines?? The cab on my 59 is in a lot better condition than the 57. I know its a lot of work swapping but its my version of the nicest street truck. I dont like the 57 cameo cuz the fiberglass and small bed. I have a 2nd gen camaro front clip to put on it as well. will post build pics after all this swapping is done.

Re: 59 Chevy truck want to swap a 57 front end on it

other than a few oddities like the hood hinge bolts the swap is a relatively easy one and gives you a chance to install new body mounts and find hidden rust issues.

why wait until your done? we like before, progress and after pics
