wtb----bench seat---recoverable

Started getting into my 68 bench and many of the springs are broken bent or missing. Looking fora 68 seat preferably but would consider any other 67-72 bench seats that are either in black and nice or solid and can be recovered. Located near Louisville KY would be best as i am not paying shipping for a seat.

Re: wtb----bench seat---recoverable

Most common n first springs to go in the bench seat is the "V" type on the outer edge of the seats especially the driver's side. Memory says about 4 or 5 each side. Someone help him find these in your old seat frames before you get rid of your worn out bench seats. Finding those replacements springs are difficult to find.

Re: wtb----bench seat---recoverable

The ones in the pic do not look like mine based on what I remember. Mine has many long straight ones that run front to back all the way across the bench, and has the v shaped ones on the sides. some of both are broken, I have spoken with an apolstry shop I have used before and they are confident that they can repair or replace the springs and rebuild the seat for me, so next wee the seat goes to them to see if they really can. Thanks for your guys help on this and I may still be looking for seat parts if this does not work out.

If you're still looking for a recoverable seat. I have one that I just pulled out of a 72
Cheyenne. It needs recovered, but the frame is in great shape and I don't think it has any broken Springs. Asking $125. Pm me for pictures, can't post them from my phone. I live about 75 miles north of Indianapolis.

I have a few old seats that I could take springs out of. If you had a picture of what your looking for and their location I could probably hook you up.
