305 v6 intake opening
 Notice the opening is not completely oval, I have found some photos with and with out this on other intakes. I am planning on using Holley adapter and was going to port to match. But before I do was going to see if anyone else has run into this. |

Yes, my intake has the same "tab", it does not cause any problem - don't worry about it.

Thanks, for the information , what is the purpose of that tab and did you port your manifold to match and was there any performance difference ?

Got it done, compressor was not working, so used old router.
 Don't use this one, did not come with Allen head bolts.  Had to buy new bolts and modify
