lowering kit ordered !!
I just ordered my McGaughey's 4.5"/6" lowering kit for my 81 C10 short box from Grunion Customs and I'm pretty excited to start working on the short box as my 82 K5 Blazer project come near the end.
I'm thinking of going with the BOSS 338 with grey centers 20x8.5 up front and 20x10 in the rear. I will start a build thread once I get going. RIZ |

Re: lowering kit ordered !!
Are you going to replace the factory suspension components along the way (control arm bushings, ball joints, etc.)? What are your plans for shocks?
I will be following your build closely as I am at a similar starting point with my '87 R10 short/fleet. With the weather beginning to turn around here, it's the perfect time to hit the garage! Good luck! Surly66 |

Yes I plan on replacing pretty much everything since I bought it as a project.

I'll be pulling the cab as soon as I get some free time and then clean up the frame before replacing all the parts with new. I plan on replacing the side tank with a Blazer tank in back between the frame. I've been taking pics since the day I brought it home.
