Door trim
Anyone know if I can get this piece in silver to match the dash? I've checked Brothers and LMC and both don't have this piece listed at all.

I think my 87 had that....swapped out to the 89 parts,it's sitting on the hood

Just an FYI, the wood grain is paint. I saw a scratch on one of my panels and brought out the stripper and found out it's brushed aluminum under the wood grain. A little paint and now they match my dash.

You could buy another trim piece and peel off the silver and glue it on your piece. That way the aluminum texture would match the dash exactly.
This part had woodgrain glued to it. I pulled it off, trimmed it and used it for my passenger side door.   Thats what I did except I was keeping the woodgrain not aluminum.

I'm going to do that when I get to replacing the chrome trim in the truck, for now money has to go to other places in the truck and at least it's not a complete eye sore till I get to it.

Now that was my next thought...was the silk screen put on over brushed trim on the dash insert?
Looks like the laminate was glued to the base truck insert with no brushed trim underneath. |

The brushed aluminum was glued to stock trim. If you wanted 'woodgrain' it was silk screen on to the aluminum.

The match is spot on. Too bad it was scratched by the factory under the paint.
