Finally got the lowering finished on my 75 Jimmy

It's been way too slow, I bought this back in March. Completely orig 1975 Jimmy 2wd. I had to replace gas tank, fuel pump, radiator, water pump, all hoses, rebuild carb, replace all brakes. Install 2.5" spindles with 1 cut coil and flip kit in rear. Too my surprise it came out level, just got it on the ground today to check. The top and seat are not in so it'll need to come up slightly in rear. I've decided to add air shocks so I can raise the rear slightly.
Hopefully I'll be driving this in a couple months-getting real tired of using my car like a truck to pick up parts.

Thanks. Will look much better when I clean up the paint. The pass qtr has been cleaned a little, you can see the difference in the pic. Unfortunately I had to weld in a patch on the top of the pass side after removing top, there was a little rust under the top. There's just a little patina on the hood and A pillars. It'll do well enough for a parts chaser and swap meet truck.

Looks good! I especially like how you got the top to levitate next to the wall out of the way!

Love it.
I'd like to own a 2wd 73-75 blazer some day.

One thing you might want to also think about .. When you put your top on the rear will drop about an inch or so... When I drove mine with no top I wouldn't bottom out, with the top on I would bottom out all the time..

That is one reason why bags for me..

Looks good by the way.. I have the same thing.. Factory 2wd Jimmy.. I even have the original motor that needs to be rebuilt after 40 some odd years..

Yes, I realize that which is why I decided to use air shocks on the back, I can lift it a little for both looks and load control. Bags are fine but I'm not wanting to completely build this truck, just need a driver for the shop. Original drive train in mine, seems to run fine with 130000 miles
