Bucket seat armrest question

I have a pair of bucket seats out of a 90 or 91 Suburban, the ones with armrests on both sides. I want to take the armrests off and put a pair of Cabela's camo seat covers on that are currently on the original seats in my M1009. If I cut the covers off the armrests, is there a bolt on the hinge so I can take them off?

Re: Bucket seat armrest question

On second thought, there's got to be a trick like press in and turn. I will be home later this week and will give it a try. The armrests add too much width to fit those seat covers and I don't want armrests anyway.

Re: Bucket seat armrest question

That was odd. The foam was completely worn out, the arm rests were kind of like a dowel rod in a sock. But still it was a tight fit to pull the cover back and expose the bolt. I don't know how they got them on when the foam was new.
