Gas Filler Hose

Hello everyone,

I have been a reader of these forums for a while now, but never posted. Well...I guess its time to start talking. I have a question? Does anyone know if the gas tank filler hose for our blazers are being reproduced? If it is, who is carrying it? I am in the process of replacing the 40 gallon custom tank with a stock tank in my 72 blazer and of course the hose has been cut. Hopefully this is the last thing holding me up, Im ready to drive the old truck again!

Thanks for the help. These boards are full of some great people. Will look forward to interacting a little more.

Welcome to the board from the Pacific Northwest. I don't believe anyone is reproducing the Blazer filler neck but there are always guys on the board parting blazers with used parts for sale.

Post some pictures of your Blazer when you get a chance. There aren't too many 2wd trucks out there.

Thanks for the help guys. I might have to get creative with the hose, if nothing turns up.

Heres a pic. Will try to add more later today.

Are you talking about the rubber hose?If so you can get the hose.Check with the vendors on the board. If they can't get you one LMC has them.Local auto parts might have them to.

The large gas hose should be available at your local parts store. We bought the hose from our local Auto Value, but I would try NAPA or whoever is in your area.

If you need a chunk of rubber gas hose try the junkyard. Last time I went shopping for filler neck hose I discovered that it is VERY expensive.

$14.95 thru LMC.I don't think that is to bad for a hose that lets the gas go into your tank, instead of your interior!

Yes I am looking for the large rubber hose. I have checked with all of the parts stores around, even Napa, and they all gave me that blank stair and said they didnt carry anything like that. Pretty typical of the parts stores around. I will pull out my LMC catalog and take a look, plus check some of the venders here. Thanks for the suggestions guys. As requested here are more pics.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Can you believe its all original. Even the paint. I was very lucky to find it. It looks like this will be the last time for a couple of days I'll be on. We are off to West Virginia for the holidays. Everyone have a good Christmas!

I stock the rubber filler hose here at my shop. Most auto supply store will not carry it, because it is too expencive, and there is not enough call for it. The size is 1 1/4". Here is a link:

Hello everyone. Back in town from one busy trip. Looks like I didnt look around the aftermarket suppliers enough. I did come up with some new hose from an industrial supply company that said it was used on large tractors, etc. Its a little heavy duty but I may see if it will work. If not I will buy the original stuff and quit fighting this job. Thanks again.

When I replaced mine, I got it from an auto parts store run by some old guy who just happened to have some laying around. It seems it was in demand for tractors years ago. Cost me $4
