I have an 85 K10 shortbed which I am planning on putting a 4" suspension lift on my truck (already have the rear springs). The 35x12.5" tires i'm looking at are actually measuring 34.1" tall, so i'm thinking they should fit without rubbing i'm thinking. Any opinions?

my 85 has a 4in lift with 33's fits fine you should be fine but why not go with a 6in lift

Because of the extra stuff involved, I wanted to go with 35's but want to go with as little a lift as I can and still fit them. With the 4" lift all I need to do is put brake line extention brackets on, raised steering arm and of course new shocks, but with 6" lift I would need longer driveshaft, new brake lines, transfer case drop. I may end up putting a 2" body lift on in the future for a total of 6"

The only thing I had to do is a longer read driveshaft when I switched from a 4inch to a 6inch. Your brake lines will still work. You dont need to drop your transfer case. I didnt and I have no vibration.

I had a 4"lift & 35" groundhawgs. It worked fine until i went off road. Under full compression while attempting to turn it would rub. Everytime you pull into a driveway with a big curb with steering wheel turned far in one direction or the other, it will rub. It never damaged any sheetmetal though.

Aren't those groundhawgs pretty wide? I'm planning on running 12.5" wide tires on 15x8 rims with 3.75" BS.

Ithink they were 12" on 10" rims. Either way it should work if your not going off road to much. Try it, & if it rubs put on the body lift, or put on ord's front shackles &thier 1" blocks for the rear. Dont forget to let us know the results. Good luck.

It will go off-road a lot! But I haven't thought about shackles and 1" blocks, that may work out perfect, Since I don't really like using body lift or blocks but 1" blocks won't hurt anything. Anyone got a link to where I can get the 1" shackles for the front? I may just go ahead and put those in when I install the lift.

www.offroaddesign.com. Just my opinion, but if your going to be off-roading alot a 4" with 33's, or a 6" with 35's would flex better & not bind as bad.
