Re: whoops i made a stupid mistake, locked out of truck,

I would think it would be easier to open the door with a slim jim then release the hood. Or if you could somehow pull the hood release cable with some needle nose pliers or another tool that might work. Quite the puzzle.

Can't recall if we have the same latch as the S10 in this video but you could try his method.

Where under the hood did you rest them? Along the front core support? That may be hard, but have you tried to get to them from below with a hanger maybe? Could also put a hanger between the door and cab and try to pull the lock up..

I can pop these doors with a coat hanger in like 5 seconds. Just loop the lock button and a quick pull up.

Re: whoops i made a stupid mistake, locked out of truck,

I have a little tool that slips in and opens the vent window in 2 seconds, even if it's a locking vent (push button). Sadly these trucks are not known for being hard to break in to.

Keith seymore has a tool design the is an L shape and it basically is a flat peice of metal that slides under the hood and catches the cable latch on the other side and you just jerk it to the side and it's just like pulling the cable.
