CPP slider engine mount plates?

Has anyone tried these out yet? I was thinking about trying the ls1-kulac which is the one that allows you to run low mount a/c. Just looking for a little feedback before I call Jeff and pull the trigger on a set. Thanks in advance

They look okay... but I opted for the dirty dingos soley due to their history of working.... and for the 4 bolts holding the outboard slider... vs. the 2 that CPP uses... (for what thats worth)

I did use CPP sheetmetal motor mounts...

Thanks for the info. I knew the DD looked beefier. Do the DD allow for low mount A/C on a 67-72? I'm thinking about keeping my A/C and power steering mounted low to avoid having to buy more parts

I tried a few quick searches for the CPP sliders and couldn't find any feedback. I talked to Jeff about them a short while back and from what I gathered I thought they were a fairly new product.

Yea they haven't been on the market long... I'm assuming the sliders came about somewhere near the sheet metal motor mounts timeframe wise.

Motor postioning (and consequently where the slider plate is in relation to the front of the motor) will play a VERY large roll on whether or not it interferes with the back of the PS pump or AC unit...

I think the AC would be a stretch with any slider.......

Lower AC will not work with Dingo Sliders...
They bolt over the top of where that bracket mounts... you will need to look at a relocation... Holley makes a nice high mount setup...

Dd mounts will not allow the low mount compressor i had to remove the ac mount to bolt my dd sliders up

The part number I posted above cpp ls1-kulac is supposed to allow for low mount ac. Thanks for the info and confirming that the DD will not work for what I'm looking for

I am going with an ly6 with 6l90 and don't want to relocate anything either. Let me know how those work. I will be running stock height/close to. Also do y'all know if I will need to swap oil pans?

I did NOT have to switch out the truck oil pan...it worked great actually.... although it IS lower than the cross member(trans and front k-member) and if your a severely lowered truck... I would consider switching to an F body or caddy or h2? oil pan so that the oil pan ISNT the lowest part of the truck.

After speaking with Jeff at CPP I ordered a set Saturday. The sliders were out of stock but should be back in stock this week. Hopefully I'll get them by early march and see how they work out.

Boynton: I couldn't tell you on the ly6 pan. I had to swap mine since the tbss pan is a front sump so I went with the cts-v pan

Hi Boynton, my 5.3 with the stock truck oil pan sat about 1 1/2- 2" below crossmember so when i did an engine overhaul recently i swapped in a 98-02 camaro/ firebird ls1 pan and all is well. bottom of pan is now about 1" above crossmember. I used the 2001 truck organ donor mounts and made my own perches. Works well with trailblazer a/c compressor. If i was to do it all over again i would source everything from trailblazer-envoy-rainer 5.3/6.0 for the mounts, a/c compressor (suction/discharge ports in-line front to back) motor mounts with the cast iron brackets to engine, a/c lines and possible condenser out front. I was reading the tread and wondered if SeTx67 ended up using the mounts and how they worked with the A/C.

Yes I used the mounts but still haven't finished my swap yet. They did allow clearance for the stock tbss ac bracket and compressor but I won't be able to use the stock bracket. The stock tbss bracket has two lower bolts that bolt to the tbss oil pan and I switched to a ctsv pan so that caused issues. I may try to pick up a truck bracket and see if that will work with the tbss compressor. If not I may use the holley brackets and mount the ac up high. As of right now I still need to finish a few things up so I can drive the truck but I'm close. Ac isn't a priority but will be soon with the Texas heat coming lol. I think I may have a truck bracket I pulled off of mine. If you don't turn one up locally let me know. I will probably have to look for it.
