Well hells bells, I didn't even think about various lug sizes. I hope it works for you John, but you may have to convert to a DANA-44 Axle to make it work. Seriously though, let me know what you think when you get the tire iron set next week. Thanks. -Dylan

I need it for a 72 3/4 ton. Looks like your GMC is a 3/4 ton?

Yep- 3/4 ton, 8 lug. My lugs are 9/16, but I use the 3/4 inch option on a 4-way.

Okay, I made myself sound ignorant. The threads on each lug measure 9/16. I had assumed the OD hex size was 9/16 as the head of each lug reads 9/16. That said, the hex size of each lug on my truck are 3/4 inch.

It takes a real blow-hard SOB to claim he can use a socket that is three sizes too large and make it work.

Does anyone have a factory lug wrench for a 72 1/2 ton? I forget the lug size. Also what tool is used for poverty caps? Opposite chisel shaped end of stock wrench?

It would be one of the pictured wrenchs from Mel with a 13/16" end. I believe it would use the chisel shaped ends to remove the cap on a 72 C10. Tom
