Best way to press out lower-a-arm ball joints??

I know they sell special c-clamps to remove and install lower ball joints. But I have a nice hydraulic press here at the shop and can machine up different cups. Anyone done it this way?? Everything is closed today and I can't get a special tool till tomorrow.

Thanks

GOT THEM! thanks guys. I used some tube from the machine shop here. I used a thin wall pipe that was just bigger than the ball joint shaft. then I found a thick wall piece that fit just perfect under the control arm. Out they came.

I'm glad I have new ones. One of them you could move up and down about 1/2" with ease. That would cause 1/2" of wheel movement that isn't controlled by the shock! The other was real notchy. My control arm shaft weren't in the best of shape either.

Thanks guys.
