Trailing arms hitting frame

Ok guys I have a quick question I have a 72 Short bed with bags and I was wondering if anyone has ever notched the frame out where the trailing arms hit and boxed it back in? Or maybe notch a little off the Arm itself? Just remember these are just questions I had in my head LOL.

Where did you mount your bag? Stock location? You can run 1"-3" lowering block, but 3"could give you a scrub line issue.
