66 SWB Fleetside question?
I have an opportunity to purchase a 1989 lwb c-10 for $200.00. Has a rebuilt 350. I know the motor is worth more than that, as it was running when it was installed. Can the suspension and brakes be used on the 66. It seems the ideal years are 73-87 but thought I would ask. Thanks for any help.

Re: 66 SWB Fleetside question?
I have never seen where anything but a 73-87 1/2 ton was used for suspension on 63-66.
I would get it and use the motor and OD trans, then scrap or sell the rest and buy your suspension parts with that.

Thanks, that was my thoughts too, but it never hurts to ask.

Re: 66 SWB Fleetside question?
The '88 and up pickup suspension and frame is completely different and can not be used.
