tach dash

will a '78 tach dash work in an '86? will i have to change the dash bezel or pad to the early style too?

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong here, but I "think" it goes like this. Without any mods to the cluster they will fit these years-
73-75
76-77
78-87

Someone that knows for sure step in here and verify this please

not for me, my cousin has an 86 and bought a tach dash out of a 78. I try to help him out because he just turned 16, he trys hard, but i have to steer him in the right direction.

Cool! It's nice to take care of the younger guys when you can. I have a couple of nephews That I did that for when they were younger. I helped them get their first truck, get them lowered, and put wheels on them.
I even painted graohics on one of them. Of course he took it out the next day in the rain, and rear-ended someone...

So how's yours 68 coming along?

I've been driving the wheels off of the 68 I have driven it almost everyday since I got it. I have already started collecting parts for it too. I also scored a short wide bed for it. Man, I love that truck.
So how is the blazer coming along?, is the new shop making good progress? From what I've seen and heard around here(on this board) they do really nice work. I'd love to see some new pics if ya have any. Also can you send me some pics of the 4 link, and any pointers you may have on installation.
