Needed: These grommets for rear CST trim panels, anyone have spares?
I'm installing repro rear CST trim panels in my 72 K5 and need three screw grommets (see pic). Does anyone have junk panels they can harvest grommets from? Thanks, Pete

Pete,
are they brass? I have gotten similar grommets at Boaters World (now defunct) but you may have some luck at West Marine or some other boating site. good luck!

Sending PM your way. Thanks Bob!!!

Thanks! Not brass appear chrome/stainless. NAPA has a very close match for the chrome trim screws. The OEM screws are self tapping and shorter.

I looked at a few marine sites today. the only ones I came across that were close to yours had a nickel plated finish over brass.

This looks close to me...simple google search. You may have already seen them. But it looks like you can get them in brass, nickel, or black.

Re: Needed: These grommets for rear CST trim panels, anyone have spares?
Just thought I'd point this out. The diameter of the OEM grommets is larger on the outside than the inside. Consequently, you can drill a hole in the new panel the diameter of the inner grommet edge and then just pop the grommet snugly into place. The pic above shows one installed in that manner.

Re: Needed: These grommets for rear CST trim panels, anyone have spares?
I was originally planning on using the 00 grommets and the tool to spread out one end to match the factory ones, but now I am debating using Velcro to avoid having screw holes.

Velcro is a great idea especially for the double wall folks who need to remove these to remove the top.
