Time to pick a color, Help!
I've been restoring my 1968 chev c10 short box step side over the winter. The body work is just about done. It is time to pick a color. This weekend we are painting the interior of the cab, which will also be the same color as the exterior. The truck was originally an army green, ex military truck. I have been thinking of a dodge deep water blue, gmc laser blue or steel blue. But now I'm thinking a 1967 Chevelle Tahoe turquoise. The same color Chevelle I had years ago. Any suggestions? It's as hard as picking you kids name.

Re: Time to pick a color, Help!
Pretty much prefer stock colors but K5kev has a very nice Suburban "The blue paint is PPG 19220 Riviera Blue, from 1996 Porsche".

Re: Time to pick a color, Help!
like SS Tim said you can't go wrong with a stock color most all of them look good on these trucks
I have hugger orange on my 67 not sure if it was offered in that year though

Re: Time to pick a color, Help!
I was going to paint mine like my avatar, but have gone in a different direction so feel free to paint it like that.
<---- The hood was going to be the Dodge Charger dark blue not sure of the name and I hadn't decide on the lower color I wanted a deep cream color. But changed my mind.. again. |

Re: Time to pick a color, Help!
Deep Water Blue is one of my favorites too. Have you seen GM Jetstream Blue ? Another good choice IMO. I have strongly considered similar colors, subscribing for other opinions too.

Re: Time to pick a color, Help!
I like that chevelle color if your set on a custom. Way cool. Like above, can't go wrong with stock though.

One of my favorite colors is G8 GXP blue. I have a zr1 in jet stream blue but the gxp blue is amazing in my opinion.

Re: Time to pick a color, Help!
That is a touch choice. Once reason I'm keeping my truck its original color is I don't want to go through the decision on which color silver/gray.
I really think the Jet Stream Blue would look killer on one of these trucks. I like the Deep Water Blue and think it look great but prefer a lighter shade on the trucks.

Re: Time to pick a color, Help!
Well I finally picked a colour and I went with the 1967 Tahoe turquoise or also called mariner turquoise. Just got the cab inside and out painted for now. Looks good so far and I'm happy with my choice. Turned out pretty good for our make shift paint booth in my buddies shop. Poly on the walls, a couple of exhaust fans, one supply fan and inlet filters at the bottom of the garage door.
