how much more does the 6l90 add to the price over a 4l80? prices on these liftouts are getting a little crazy in my opinion and ive done 2 of them.

i got a 6.0 and 4l80e couple years back complete dbw pedal, tac everything with less miles on it for 1500 bucks

i will agree with you to a certain extent... its about supply and demand... there is a big demand for these engines.... the price of clean wrecked trucks to pull these engines out of has more than doubled at the wreck auctions in the last few years.. and gm charges about $15000.00 for this engine trans and everything on it... and you cant build any kind of a engine for this price...

the shipping is $550.00 plus the $100.00 crating charge for a total of $650.00...

the 6 speed auto is about $1500.00 more... and the l6y is higher than a lq4 engine... it has the l92 heads.. more horsepower..
