Where should I get parts for 71 Chevy?
I've had this 71 short bed fleet side with a stock 402 since 1889. It runs like a Swiss watch, but begs to be restored. My excuse was it needed a bed, but I found a beauty 2.5 years ago, so excuses no more. Where do you recommend parts?
Also, I need to put in new duct. It does have AC. Do you recommend the OE, or is the aftermarket better? It's just duct. Not like you'll see it. Thanks for any input. |

Wow that's a long time to own a truck! If you are after bed wood check out Mar-K and GMC Pauls. We have some great vendors here that can get everything you'll need.

All the aftermarket brands suck, you just gotta find the one that sucks the least I've had good luck with Classic Parts of America.
Usually you can't beat original NOS parts, but people want waaaaay too much money for them.

All depends on what you want in a final product.
If your ac works fine but just needs duct work probably any of the kits will work but if it's not working maybe a vintage air replacement may be in order. They may perform better |
