Re: 1972 power steering gear box on a 67 with no dimple in the frame
i've mocked it up and don't see any issue.. there are others with a similar setup that might be cheaper...

I think captainfab(vendor on the site) has a bracket as well, that looks very nice.

I have a 67 C20 originally with manual steering that I want to convert. The 72 PS box you used, what vehicle was it out of? Do you happen to know the PN on the box? What is the ratio? Did you use your orginal pitman arm or another one? Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to get it right the 1st time when I do it. |

Re: 1972 power steering gear box on a 67 with no dimple in the frame
So the first year of power steering on C10's was 68 if I read this right. Does that apply to C20 and C30's?
Here is what I have. Going by the ID on he rail it's a 68. It's a dually so I would assume its a C30 altho I believe C20 and C30 have the same frame. The cab was a C20 vin but it didn't match the frame serial number.

Re: 1972 power steering gear box on a 67 with no dimple in the frame
I just put in a power steering sector on my 67 chevy with raised bosses and still had to use two 3/8 washers that I cut to make them C's so the bump on the sector didn't hit the frame. Just wanted to put that out there.
