Removing Sunvisors from Arm--How?

How does a person remove the sunvisors from the arms? Do they just pull off the arms (the side of the arms that clip into the plastic retainers)? I don't want to damage the visors since they are still nice.

Thanks in advance!

I have not had my visors off but I am guessing that they come off the same way that most do. Pull and wiggle them back and forth at the same time. I have pulled other visors off of the arms and put wax on to loosen them up some when they are hard to put up or down. I had a 74 Chevy where they were so tight I ruined the drivers side one and had to get new ones.

just pull and twist. You have to work at it a bit. Oh, and the rod is in 2 pieces!!! Well, mine are anyway. I thought that I wasn't getting them off, but I got the visor off of the mount, but where it sticks out and latches at the center of the cab, you will have to work at it with some pliers.

Yep they just twist off. I unstitched mine to replace the fiber board and the rod is 2 peices. One peice of the rod the the part the keeps it from falling and kind of clips on to the roof. The other peice is the rod that has the elbow attached to it. Mine were all gummed up. I guess GM put some kind of wax up in there to keep it lubed and mine went bad.
