LCA shaft cap size?
What size socket do I need for the LCA shaft? It's a biggun so I will have to special order it but I would like to have one around in case I ever need it again. I had a shop take them off but I would like to get one so I can put them back on and for future projects. nd it's another special tool for the special tool drawer in my box.

Re: LCA shaft cap size?
Don't laugh dude, but I broke mine loose with 2- 24" pipe wrenches and a 3' cheater pipe, just so I wouldn't have to run to parts house hahahah
1-24" with cheater for breaking it loose and the other 24 as back up. Worked pretty good I will add. Now if you don't have a pipe wrench, my suggestion is take the LCA to the parts house and find a socket to fit. But you better have one hell of a breaker to break it loose. Even with the 2- 24"s it still took effort. What I plan on doing is, when I get ready for re-assembly im going to take my new shaft + nuts and go buy a socket. I'm sure someone know the exact size, but as of this point I don't. Sry I couldn't help more

Re: LCA shaft cap size?
I picked up a huge cresent wrench and tried that but they were stuuuuuck. After watching the guy at the shop hit it with the impact and it coming right off I deciided thats the way to go. Plus I'm getting old and lazy. lol

Re: LCA shaft cap size?
IIRC, I used a 1 5/16" impact socket. Easy way to verify is to use your tape measure and measure across the flats.

Re: LCA shaft cap size?
If I remember right chevy_mike is correct 1 5/16" on the bottoms and either 1 1/8 or 1 3/16" on the uppers.

Re: LCA shaft cap size?
Just got back from Sears. 1 5/8 for the bottom and a 36mm fits good for the top.
