How much do leaf springs wear/sag over the years?

Might be a difficult question to answer well but I was curious as to how much leafs wear/sag over the years.

I'm contemplating getting new leafs for the rear since I have it all apart, rather than putting in the original leafs. I like the ride height it had before in the rear, but wouldn't be opposed to dropping it a bit. That said, not sure if the original leafs, after so many years, are sagging 1-2 inches already .

Given that it's a frame off (amateur frame off) would you be inclined to replace the leafs, or just blast/paint the current ones and go with them?
