Booster to master cylinder mate
Picked up my new frame for the '57 with the camaro clip already installed by Purcell69. It has the firewall mounted master cylinder still attached. He said it was from a mustang.
My question is if any booster would work? I'm looking to get a firewall to dash mount brake pedal assembly probably from cpp. Any advice?

Re: Booster to master cylinder mate
I had no idea a master cylinder question would be picture worthy.

Re: Booster to master cylinder mate
Master cylinder needs to be matched to the brake wheel cylinders and calipers. Booster needs to be large enough to power the mc. On mine I am using the stock 74 truck MC with a 8" booster and it seems to be working fine. I allowed for increasing to a 10" if I have issues down the road. Linkage will be a trial and error unless the PO has a specific type in mind when he fabbed it. Most aftermarket set ups use the same geometry as stock so the pedal travel moves the mc lever the right distance. I do not know if the "mustang" mc has the same travel distance as GM mc's. Pics will help.

Re: Booster to master cylinder mate
The frame is an hour away. I'll snap a pic next time I'm out there.
