Rack and pinion steering with thorley headers?

I am curious if anyone has pics of a rack steering linkage with the full length doug thorley LS headers? On my 69, I don't have my cab on to check this but these headers hang way over the frame and it looks like the steering linkage will be really really close to the pipes. Curious to see how bad it will be to build the shaft. Thanks for any info...Mike

Nope. Stock K member. I think I may have to go through the frame like a No Limit rack conversion. If so that would mean moving my engine mount brackets back. I am using a set of stock small block towers. All the guys I have seen with a rack are using old school engines and all the pics I can find of LS trucks are using stock steering.

Re: Rack and pinion steering with thorley headers?

Found this thread about a unisteer rack. Good pics of the shaft assembly. May be able to go this route as well...
