Rear end question
77 chevy 4x4 posi in 2.76. Will this bolt into a 65, just wondering and thinking I could keep my 350 auto and get decent mpg. Thanks for any info.

Re: Rear end question
It will bolt in if your truck is a GMC with leaf springs, but you will have to change the shock mounts on either the differential or the frame. If your truck has trailing arms you will of course have to weld on a set of trailing arm mounts and a panhard bar mount. The '77 12 bolt will also be 1.5" wider than your current differential. Those 2.76 gears may or may not give you better mpg's, depending on what you have now. Lower rpm's does not necessarily mean better mpg's. Your truck will definitely be a turd to drive.
