Transmission lines 4l60e to stock radiator

I'm trying to figure out what to do on the transmission cooler lines to the radiator. I was hoping to use the factory 2003 lines for my 5.3/4l60e, but the front frame crossmember is in the way. I know i can run AN lines, but looking to see what else is out there.
72 Suburban using stock 72 radiator and 4l60e trans.

if I were to do it again, I'd run stock lines as far forward as possible and then use AN fittings. soft line all the way up not very awesome

I ran braided line from trans to cooler all the way, and it was plenty easy, especially with where mine passes by the exhaust.

You can also use the stock "Stub" on the trans, then use unions and hard brakeline to bend a path to the cooler, if you don't want any braided line.

OR, you can combine both ideas...running stock stubs and hard line, then adapting to braided for the end run.

I used 4l80e lines my buddy had laying around his shop in my 74. Had to do a lil bending and cutting but they work fine.

the trans-end of the stock lines is different on the 4l60e, the 80e has that "Stub" that goes into the case when you plug the quick connects in. Did that fit your 60e?

If i remember correctly the transmission end of the line went right in...the radiator end was modified to fit my radiator. Ill try n post some pics later...have to work on it today

Bend your own. It's pretty starightforward.
