Here's some pics of my additional project: its a former farm truck turned parts hauler and now getting a facelift....

The only things I've done is strip the interior, begin filling misc. holes in and grinding them down, adding metal below the windshield to fix a hideous antenna mount the PO put in, found a scabbed up rocker panel weld seam where the former guy lazily patched it in-gotta fix that, too. Eventually, the truck will be black with black/grey interior. I stripped down the front end sheetmetal, too. AS of right now, I seam-sealed the interior and applied 3 coats of some bedliner to the floor. I've got about 6 hours into it so far....that's going from backing it in the garage to what you see now. Next up is to rebuild the AC enclosure, pull the windshield, smoothout the door jambs and make a few patch panels for the lower cowl area on the RH side.

Since the whole box is trashed, this was a good time to see how the color Autumn Gold looks over red oxide primer....the 69 Camaro in the background will get that along with white striped hopefully inthe not too distant future. I think I played a few games of tic tac toe on the other side with my daughter using a Sharpie....lol

Here's a dash I dyed in the dark Charcoal grey I was going for-this is an OEM crack-free dash in medium blue...still pliable and in great shape-no imperfections. I did a mild restoration on the dash plaque also...looks good enough for this ole beater....lol I have nice dash vents to put in but this dash won't get installed for at least a week yet.

Well-not a whole lot done-this is a pic of how th efloor turned out with the bedliner sprayed on-gave a quick shot of black paint to the back of the cab, too-it'll do for now. Next gotta pull the windshield, clean up the opening and jambs, spray them black, then rebuild the AC enclosure.

Drivetrain is rock solid.....always ran Mobil 1 synthetic fluids so it'll all get pulled, detailed, painted, New oil pump, gaskets, GM serpentine swap, aluminum radiator and one of my 3-speed electric fan assemblies.

Well, after a little hiatus on his truck, we got back to it this past weekend. I had to cut out and repair a section of the front cab corner in front of the lower hinge area. The previous body guy replaced the rocker but was shoddy in doing so. He welded the aftermarket edge of it to whatever good metal he could tack to-nevermind that he should have just made his own repair panel to graft the two together with. I didn't think to take pics once I was down n dirty working on it but I'll get some pics of where I'm at now.

I can't believe the guy would leave a gaping hole there and fill it with fiberglass and prime over the area-my father in law kept remarking how "aw hell that's too much work-its just an old truck...." I spent about 6 hours so far properly combining the rocker panel, cab corner patch, floorboard edge and firewall seam....and I'm not done with it yet....
