Tach Repair
I'm wondering if anyone has attempted or successfully repaired a stock tach for our pickups?
I have a stock tach, and it works well when cool. However on a hot day, or when the dash lights are on and heat up the tach, it stops working. It starts reading really slow. Maybe it just gets sluggish like I do on a super hot day  Anyway, I'm guessing that there may be a straight forward way to repair. I haven't torn into it yet and was hoping that before I do someone with experience might give some advice. Thanks!

T-Bone64 is a great resource and a very nice guy, so give him a call first. There is another resource that does an interesting upgrade to these factory unit, replacing the factory circuit board and also installing a trimmer potentiometer to precisely tune the accuracy of the tach. Not sure if T-Bone64 does the same or not... here is the link:

Williamson's Instruments in Chester, Arkansas dead my upgrade to my original factory Sun brand tach. Excellent work, excellent price.
