Power Steering issues
Ok guys, I have absolutely NO power steering at all. The pump isn't whining or making any noise at all. Also the fluid doesn't appear to be churning or moving inside at all. I've taken both hoses off at the gear box and fluid is coming out.
I decided to yank the pump off and look at the backside of the pump where the pressure hose goes in. I bought the fitting that allows you to still use my original 71 pressure hose. My question, is there any sort of check valve that should be in there that might be missing? I don't want to change the pump if there isn't anything wrong with it.

Re: Power Steering issues
I have the same adapter with no problems. You may want to check that return line, it looks crimped at the bend in the picture...

Re: Power Steering issues
I actually bent it when I was taking it out.

Re: Power Steering issues
Well, now you're probably going to have to change the pump anyway. I would just put another one on it, that's going to be the easiest fix.
