Rear ends?
Hello Everyone
I'm building a 1961 gmc step side short box with my dad, Were going to change the crossmember out of a 73-87 truck and run 5by5 wheels with a 454 engine and a 700 R4 or a 4L80E trans. Depending on what I can find in the scrap yard. What I'm not sure what would be the best rear end to run in the truck with 5 bold pattern? Thanks! |

I'm just in King City and the truck out of Hollanding.. I've only got the two pics on my phone. Ill try to find the other ones when it was on the truck coming home. |

A GM truck 12 bolt will work just fine. In fact a GM truck 8.5" 10 bolt will work if you don't plan on wide and/or sticky tires..
