how rare is my truck?

hey guys i picked up my truck a couple months ago and i was wondaring if its a rare model or atleast not as commom. Its a 1976 c10 shortbed its a silverado edition and also a trailering special. i have seen very little trucks with the trailering special. Also i have not seen many of these in a half ton. It has oem hitch and towing package. It also comes complete with oem moldings which i have also seen very little short bed trucks with. what do you guys think? i paid 1700 for it it has a 350 that runs but tranny is slipping.

and heres some progress ive done on it

Re: how rare is my truck?

I might be wrong but I really do not think the truck is really rare. But good buy and just enjoy your new ride.

Re: how rare is my truck?

thanks guys...it also has actual badges on the side of the window that say "trailering special" it has some rust on the typical areas but thats all repairable...going to do a 5/7 drop on it and drop an ls 5.3 or 6.0 into it. i couldnt pass up the truck for the price.

you can kind of see the badges on this picture

it also came with some slotted mag wheels

Have fun with your new toy. Looks like you have a good start. I agree, those tires have to go.

Re: how rare is my truck?

Its a great truck to start with. Not very common option. Do you have the option sticker still in the glovebox. It will have all options listed. I was wondering if it originally had the VR4 weight dist. hitch listed as an option.

Great truck! Factory black with red interior is my FAVORITE! Just sold one that was a little too rusty.

"There are no rare squares" - as the saying goes.

You did, however, get a good deal.

Have fun!

Great deal. Man I love those slots. All time favorite wheel. I'd love to find some 6 lugs for mine.

With no or very few small dents then that is a good buy.

Re: how rare is my truck?

I have never seen that emblem on anything but the suburban and k5's, kinda cool though it was definitly a special optioned truck per owner though, not a "lot" truck. So ya I would say "RARE". BTW great looking truck, love the Saratoga silver with red/crimson interior.

Re: how rare is my truck?

My 76 Blazer and 77 Crew Cab both came with the trailering secal option and emblems. True that you dont often see those emblems on pickups.
