Interesting flea market find-Cool Ideas

Well today I had some free time and found myself next to the fairgrounds about lunch time. Every Wednesday from 9a-1p the county opens one of the fairground lots for a flea market. Well since I had time I decided to walk through. Never know what may turn up. Well I made my way through and as it came time to close I stumbled across this lady starting to clean up her stuff. She was directing a couple of kids saying "Car" and "Donate". Turns out that at the end of the flea market, the local charity (retarded children thrift store) parks their truck near the entrance and people donate the things that dont sell and they dont want to take home. Well while they were cleaning I was looking over what was left and spotted a good looking metal box. Just as I spotted it the little girl grabbed it and mom said "donate". I thought what the hell, lets see what she wants for it. I asked and she said, "take it, I was going to toss it anyway". I argued that I wouldnt feel right just taking it and asked what she was asking for it earlier. She responded, "Well, I'll tell you what, give me a buck for it but you must take the others as a lot." Turns out I didnt see the other two sitting back on the table. So I said "Sold!"

Here is a pic of one of them.

I put the business card in for scale. They are actually storage boxes for projector slides. But I figured that they would make great kit boxes. I plan to stencil "First Aid", "Emergency", and "Truck supplies" on them and mount them behind the seat in the truck. Then pack them with first aid supplies, Emergency supplies (like a candle, wire saw, glow sticks, just basic survival supplies), and fuses, bulbs, and the like in the last. I figure they will be simi unique and cool.

I thought I'd share and see if we can start a "Cool Idea" type thread where you find something at a flea market, garage sale, swap meet, and such where you see something that strikes your fancy and what your imagination came up with for a use. Whatcha think?
